Below is the fine print of the case competition itself to give you an idea of the event 


The case competition will feature up to eight teams from graduate business schools invited by the Haas Technology Club’s Case Competition Leadership Committee.

Team Composition

Each university’s team must comply with the following team guidelines:

  • Each team must register with 4 students
  • All team members must be currently enrolled in their respective university’s Full-Time or Part-Time MBA program
  • Once the case materials have been distributed on October 29, no team member substitutions will be allowed
  • In the event that a team member(s) is unable to participate in the event, the team may continue operating with the remaining team members

Competition Benefits

  • Each team will have two hotel rooms for three nights in Berkeley at the Berkeley Lab Guest House
  • There will be a shuttle service that will take you to and from the Haas campus at scheduled times
  • All meals during the competition will be paid for by the Haas Tech Club


  • All teams must arrive and register for the competition on Thursday afternoon/evening
  • Upon registration, each team will be assigned a team number which will be used throughout the duration of the competition and for any submitted materials
  • Dress is  casual for all events on Friday
  • Dress is tech casual for all presentations on Saturday
